Are Mail Order Brides Real?

Many men who are interested in dating and marrying Russian women will ask the question, 'are mail order brides real?' Well, if you're thinking you can just get on the internet, select a picture of a woman you think is beautiful, pay a little cash and have her delivered to your door, then no. Mail order brides aren't real. However, there are a large number of Russian women who want to find their soulmates, get married and have children. These women are in a country where they largely outnumber the men, making it very difficult to find their ideal husband in Russia. Therefore, they seek other places, such as the US, to find their soulmate.

Mail order brides is a term that is still used, although it's rather offensive. Russian women are smart, beautiful, caring women who are (just like every other woman on earth) interested in finding true love, and having a family with the person they love. There are internet dating sites devoted to helping American and other men find love with a Russian woman. It works the same way as most other dating sites. If you see a picture and you're interested in a woman, you contact her via e-mail. If sparks fly, you can choose to contact her on a more personal level, either by phone or mail.

From there, the two of you would decide if there is anything there or if you're simply not interested in each other. If you are interested in each other, you would need to convince your Russian woman (just like any other woman) that you're the right man for her. Of course, this is only done through getting to know each other, and discovering each other's personalities. If you are interested in each other, the next logical step might be marriage. While the whole process is often referred to as 'mail order brides,' it's not. It is a relationship between two people looking to find love.
